My OS is Win98SE, I like to install MS mouse driver so I could navigate in DOS Shell, rather than using the keyboard. In fact, most newer BIOS should support USB keyboards and even USB mice natively, so no additional USB keyboard/mouse driver for DOS is needed at all in this case. However, this is no longer true. A number of people used to think that USB support in DOS was not possible, and there were no USB drivers for DOS. I mean to say, these win-printers rely on the printer drivers to render the hardcopy.There are several ways folks are getting their USB CDroms, Hard Drives, and other drives to work inUSB Support for DOS.
Both methods appear to require loading an usbaspi X.sys file first in config.sys in most cases. The second method is using what looksSomewhat like standard CDrom driver files and a USB driver. One is using what's known as DUSE driver system.
